The Friends of the Rochester Public Library in Rochester, Minnesota, is a community-driven organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing the library’s collections, programs, and special projects. Through our work, we help strengthen connections between the library and the community.
Our funding comes primarily from membership contributions, special events, and the sale of donated books.
Have items to donate? We gladly accept new or gently used items in good condition, including books, CDs, DVDs, jigsaw puzzles, and board games.
All items we sell are generously donated by the library and community members, and every aspect of our operation is powered by volunteers. The Friends play an active role in:
Processing incoming donations
Selling donated items online
Operating the Friends Bookstore
Sorting and boxing donations
Staffing auditorium book sales
Serving on the board of directors
We Love Our Library!
