The Friends of the Rochester Public Library in Rochester, Minnesota, is a community-driven organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing the library’s collections, programs, and special projects. Through our work, we help strengthen connections between the library and the community.

Our funding comes primarily from membership contributions, special events, and the sale of donated books.

Have items to donate? We gladly accept new or gently used items in good condition, including books, CDs, DVDs, jigsaw puzzles, and board games.

All items we sell are generously donated by the library and community members, and every aspect of our operation is powered by volunteers. The Friends play an active role in:

Funds raised through Friends of the Library activities help support and enhance the programs, services, and community resources offered by the Rochester Public Library. These may include:

Join us 4 times a year with major sales inside the downtown library’s auditorium or make a purchase from our eBay store

Donate Your Books to the Library

Your donations help grow the library collection and provide the Friends with inventory to sell - therefore allowing us to provide more funds to the library!
